Levelling Up, Housing & Communities Select Committee chair Clive Betts has called on the government to go further to ensure “all relevant parties” to the building safety crisis should be required to contribute to the costs of fixing it. Lawyers agree that the focus should not stop at developers and cladding manufacturers.

Construction agency director disqualified over £5.5m accounts breach

The director of an Edinburgh based recruitment agency specialising in providing contractors to the construction industry has been banned for six years after failing to maintain adequate accounting records to explain expenditure of nearly £5.5 million.
