Campaigners demand public inquiry for key reservoir proposal

A judicial review challenge has been launched against Thames Water’s £2.2 billion plan to build a reservoir at Abingdon, Oxfordshire without a public inquiry being held, in what is being seen as a landmark case that could disrupt the company’s drought management plans. The challenge was being heard in the High Court on Wednesday and Thursday this week with the decision expected in July.
