The Health and Safety Executive is prosecuting Falcon Tower Crane Services Limited for health and safety allegations over a crane collapse that led to the deaths of three men in 2017.

Former Carillion Chief Executive given eight year ban

Former Carillion Chief Executive Richard Howson has been banned from being a company director for eight years for his role in the collapse of the failed contractor. Court cases involving other directors will start in the week beginning 16 October.

Workers death leads to heavy fine

Tarmac Aggregates Limited has been fined £1,275,000 and ordered to pay £200,000 costs after pleading guilty to breaching Section 2(1) and Section 3(1) of the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974.
