Falls from height continue to cost contractors

A construction company has been fined after two bricklayers suffered serious injuries in a fall of approximately eight feet while building a parapet wall at a property in Cheshire. Falls from height remain the number one cause of serious injury and death in the construction industry.

Government urged to broaden pursuit over unsafe cladding

Thames tunnel project procures for low carbon construction

National Highways has claimed the Lower Thames Crossing will be the first major UK infrastructure project to use procurement to reduce carbon, after inviting shortlisted bidders to tender for £1.9 billion worth of contracts to deliver road infrastructure either side of the tunnel.

Carillion-built drain blamed for Stonehaven train derailment
