Consultation opens on late payment procurement reforms

The Cabinet Office has opened a consultation on procurement reforms designed to build on the changes introduced in the Procurement Act 2023. Under the proposals, companies unable to demonstrate prompt payment to suppliers on projects of over £5 million would be barred from bidding for public sector work.
