Disputes avoided after nuclear procurement failure

The Nuclear Decommissioning Authority has been praised in a National Audit Office report today for avoiding legal disputes since the failure, termination and subsequent renegotiation of a contract to manage the decommissioning of Magnox sites. But the authority needs to get a better handle on the cost of cleaning up the sites, it reports after the estimated figure increased by up to £2.7bn since 2017.
