Fresh legal challenge threatens major road scheme

National Highways’ plan to upgrade a portion of the A428 between Oxford and Cambridge has become the latest nationally significant infrastructure project to face a potential judicial review, after a legal challenge was launched by environmental campaigners. One lawyer notes that a rise in such challenges is not unavoidable if thorough due process is followed.
