Grenfell inspector hampered by workload

A building control officer who was in charge of inspecting work on Grenfell Tower to ensure compliance with building regulations was unable to visit certain projects within his responsibility due to workload pressures stemming from austerity cuts, the inquiry into the 2017 fire has heard.
