News in Brief – November 2017

Action is being urged to protect the safety of workers on British construction projects after the second phase of a targeted inspection initiative by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) got under way in October. HSE reports that 43 construction workers were fatally injured in 2015–16, and an estimated ten times that number died from construction-related ill health.
