Unsafe demolition lands contractor suspended prison sentence

A contractor appointed to demolish a building in Ramsgate, Kent, has been handed a suspended prison sentence after an uncontrolled collapse onto the town’s high street in November 2013. The building was owned by Panther AL (VAT) Ltd which has also been fined following the incident.
