Wales pauses road schemes over climate concerns

A freeze on new road building projects has been announced by the Welsh Government due to concerns over the impact of car travel on the country’s carbon emissions. The move may represent a tougher approach to tackling emissions than that set out in the UK government’s Construction Playbook, says one lawyer.
